A OpenAI negou os relatos de que teria lançado anúncios no ChatGPT Plus após usuários identificarem recomendações de aplicativos de compras.

Como avistado em X, um usuário do ChatGPT Plus fez casualmente uma pergunta normal sobre o Windows BitLocker. Embora a IA tenha respondido à pergunta, também recomendou fazer compras no Target para comprar mantimentos.

Agora, mantimentos ou comida doméstica claramente não têm relação com o BitLocker, mas a bolha “Compre para casa e mantimentos” ainda aparece, e é justo supor que é um anúncio.

“Nosso objetivo é que os apps aumentem a experiência de usuário quando relevantes para uma conversa, e ainda estamos trabalhando nisso. Qualquer pessoa pode criar aplicativos usando o SDK de apps, e planejamos abrir as submissões e o diretório de apps em breve”, explicou ele.

Para a maioria das pessoas, ainda parece e se sente como um anúncio. Você vê um logo da marca, uma mensagem curta de compras e um chamado à ação dentro de um produto pago, mesmo sem nunca ter perguntado sobre compras ou Target.

O ChatGPT automaticamente coloca uma sugestão comercial em uma resposta, assim como as recomendações aparecem no menu Iniciar do Windows 11, e ainda assim a defende.
